the password worked initially and then one day it tells me the password is incorrect. I would like to "break in" but how do I do that? I cannot open anything on my computer because of this. Can i install a new operating system and override this problem.

Then you are NOT using the correct password. If you were using the correct password, you could get in. I've checked the internet and found that there is no easy way to reset the password. Perhaps a computer geek could help you but they will really have to know their stuff. You can find a computer geek at Best Buy. Go to the area marked Geek Squad. I'm assuming you mean administrator password and not the BIOS password (which is even harder to recover).
