    I retired on my social security at age 69 years old and quit my job. two years ago I got married at 69. Last year my ex husband died. We had been married 13 years. Can I file and draw my ex dead husbands social security even thou I have been married for 2 years to another?age

    I have been married for 2 years but my ex husband whom I was married to for13 years died last year. Can I file and draw his social security since it is more then mine?

    Survivor Eligibility
    A surviving spouse who qualifies by age or child care and who has not remarried may claim benefits as early as age 50 if disabled or age 60 if not disabled. A surviving spouse caring for a disabled child or a child under the age of 16 may collect survivor benefits as well.
