What year the grape was picked for that particular wine.

They say the older the wine better it is ferment . That is if it;s from reputable seller or well extablish winnery , In order for wine to properlly ferment need to store in a good invironment an not have a shaky place and have it turn every now then? There is lot more info on this subject to making good wine!

I believe that usually, a date printed on a wine bottle, MAY refer to when it was bottled, or- the 'vintage' year. Not too sure about this one, and not all wine bottles are alike, but, this may be the meaning of the year you are asking about.
