From what I see, lobbyists lobby solely on greed and prejudice. I'd say they are a curse to the political system. This should not go without saying that some lobbyists lobby for good things, like increased rights for animals to cut down on the mistreatment of animals. Also for increased awareness about abuse of people, be they women, children or minorities. But I think the main reason for lobbyists is for rich people/corporations to try and get funds from the government that just loves to give away tax payer dollars.
