        Fishlet: Some dams have aids, like ladders that help them negotiate the obstacles. Have you ever swum upstream and encountered these?

        Clonge, I have lived the best part of my life in Western Canada where we have loads of beavers and we redirect our water to the United States of America... I have seen dams of all shapes, sizes and mediums. Damn and Dam are two completely different words.
        I am sticking to my original answer... I don't care for the tone.

        @CLONGE...O.K..I`M OLD!!:-)...but am I the only person on here to find it hard to respond to your q and a`s ...because you`re picture is of a child???...i`m AFRAID I don`t respond to you as often as I should because it feels inappropriate responding to a kid`s pic!!!...???Maybe it`s just me as a Mother not wanting adults to answer a question seemingly from a minor!!:( ...MY fault maybe!

                      We do try and answer the questions posted here. We receive a lot of strange questions from a lot of strange people and sometimes they get strange answers. Many questions are unintelligible  and these go unanswered. Many are just plain silly and yes, for many questions we have no answers, we just don't know.


                      You have at your fingertips access to the World Wide Web and through this and a search engine like Google you can research almost anything imaginable and find the information you seek. Give it a try!
