Pat Robertson is a pastor, a televangelist, a teacher of the Bible.  Pat Robertson is also, in my opinion, dead wrong in a number of statements that he has made over the years.  To joke about and condone "beating" due to "her lack of submission", makes him a fool.  As a Christian myself, I heard a similar statement from the pulpit (in my FORMER church).  Most Christians (though sadly not all) will vehemently disagree with him!

God has many children, all of us in fact. Some children hear the voice of God…and instantly their minds snap shut like a clam that was poked and for the rest of their lives they go about with the interpretation of what they think they saw or heard expressed as their belief and/or denial. Righteous indignation fills their mind for all who stray from the path of their conviction. I am convinced our Native American Faiths wherein Mescaline and other such hallucinogenic gifts from the Gods is a wonderful cure for fools. Just my opinion and LSD…a proper way to learn that you are better off with your feet on the ground.
