Instructions
1
Log on to your computer and click on the "Start" button. Choose "Control Panel" from the menu.
2
Double-click on the "Administrative Tools" icon and choose "Services" from the list. This will open up a list of all the services that are configured for your computer.
3
Locate the "Print Spooler" service on the list, right-click and choose "Start" from the menu. Wait for the service to start, then send your print job again.
4
Right-click on the "Print Spooler" service, then right-click and choose "Properties" from the menu. Click the drop-down list next to "Startup Type" and make sure it is set to "Automatic."
5
Take note of which printer you are using when the print spooler fails. Remove that printer from your list of installed printers by clicking on the "Printers and Faxes" icon in the Control Panel. Then click "Add a Printer" to reinstall the printer.
