    Cover all with black plastic and leave for a couple of weeks (or more). Then till the soil and plant new seed or plates of new grass.  Water well and be thankful you're not in Austin where the water restrictions would kill your lawn for you......

    Cut neatly in the spring after the rains stop and let it dry out, then spray paint it green.


    Cover it with Astro-Turf.


    Volunteer your yard for a televised make-over by professional landscapers for advertising.


    Have a Cash-less yard sale  where items are displayed that can be claimed after clearing a number of square feet of weeds and grass to a trash bin. Always provide refreshments and seating at yard sales. Free beer and belly-dancers is a real crowd pleaser.
