Don't know about "fail" but what it does mean is you need a lot more studying.

it was only nine questions, i know i did good in the video section and writing a report section but befor i knew it time was iup on the reading and i came up short nine questions on the reading part. Now i have to wait a month for results. I dnt know if i can wait that long

Not knowing the pass standard or anything else about your test I would still recommend more study just in case.
I wish you all the luck though.

Hope you're still in the running but not answering

nine of the questions in the alloted time might be

an indication of how you work under "pressure".

How many questions did you answer?

I had two brother in laws that were New Jersey state troopers, and from what I remember from them the test was extremely difficult. They both had to have a BS in criminology.

What score do you need to pass?  70%???   How many questions were on your test?  If there were 100 questions and you answered 91, you can have 29 WRONG answers and still have 70%.

Take the number of questions asked and multiply by .7 (7/10).  That will tell you the minimum number you need to have correct if you need 70% to pass.

Hope you have passed, if not, is it possible to take the test again ?
