It's funny how he accidentally found this scheme. He bought a small insurance company for a few million dollars, then discovered the monies kept in reserves to pay the death claims. It's like a kid in the candy store after that. He then went all over the country to buy out small insurance companies.
I know it sounds very trite but...think of the good he could have done, if he had used his brains for a good cause, instead of just pure greed and plain old debauchery. :P

Greed equals evil. I am very surprised that a hassidic Rabbi would commit such a crime. Hassidic Jews are known for theire deeply religious lifestyle and live strictly according to the Torah(the first five books of the Jewish Bible) I am glad he is behind bars and will die there. Makes you wonder though about who you can trust anymore.
Cnbc has documentary programs about American Greed. I watch it sometimes and wonder why America has lost its soul.

Chi, I did read that. Very interesting. I also read that "Khazars" who later immigrated to Europe, also established the state of Israel.
