are you kidding, a blind man can put in a flapper.  The trick is to get the correct one.  Take all information to a home improvement store, or better still an old fashioned hardware store (good to support them, and you get people more knowledgeable, as a rule).  Need the make of the toilet.  The installation takes literally 10 min. you do not have to shut off anything but the valve at bottom of toilet, near rear wall.  There should be DIY instructions on the replacement.  They come in different styles, so do not fret if it looks different than the current one.  Good luck, you can do it!
