Romney Picks Paul Ryan for VP Running Mate

Has anyone heard of him? http://www.marketwatch.com/story/romney-picks-paul-ryan-as-vp-running-mate-2012-08-11-81033715?link=MW_story_featstor

    Some views from Ryan

On immigration:  I do not support amnesty for the millions of illegal immigrants already living in the United States. Any reform proposal must require that those who have disregarded the rule of law are not rewarded for their actions. In the end, I hope that with better border security and a more robust and up-to-date employee verification system, we will be able to stem the flow of illegal immigration and restore the rule of law.

About Obamacare: Instead of promoting real competition – which would moderate costs naturally—the law nationalizes the regulation of health insurance premiums. This will lead to shortages and rationing.  Waiting times will replace prices as a means of balancing limited supply and higher demand. Quality will decline as consumers begin facing restricted access to the full range of treatment options. Greater government regulation also will limit incentives for medical innovation.

Yet, despite all the new spending and all the increased taxes, supporters of this law argue that it will actually reduce our current deficit levels. However, the fiscal arguments just do not add up. The only way reduce the deficit, while at the same time having the government pick up the tab for more than 30 million uninsured Americans and subsidize millions more is through the use of smoke and mirrors.

Jobs and the economy: The economic growth that our country needs cannot come from Washington.  It originates from the creativity and entrepreneurial spirit of the American people.  This spirit can only thrive if the government creates an economic-friendly environment that allows businesses to grow and create jobs.  The House Majority has pursued an agenda focused on job creation and economic growth.  As such, we have passed 40 bills aimed at empowering small business owners and reducing regulatory burdens, fixing the tax code to help job creators, increasing competitiveness for American manufacturers, encouraging entrepreneurship and growth, maximizing domestic energy production, paying down America’s unsustainable debt burden, and beginning to live within our means. http://paulryan.house.gov/issues/issue/?IssueID=9973

Paul Ryan seems to be a good pick. But the dems still have the majority in the Senate, unless that changes nothing is going to go the right way for the Republicans.

I'm voting all republican in our next polls.

Whats it matter he's not going to win anyhow, not that i want that..

I like him and think he will make a great president after Romney........

I've heard of him now, caught it on the news this a.m........

Too much is made about Vice-Presidential running mates. They exercise very little influence in political decision making. It is mostly an intern position for aspiring future Presidential hopefuls.

They still make a difference should the president be unable to fulfill his duties. I still like to know their ideals.

Maybe he can throw some backbone into this race. Romney isn't doing it.
