I taught at a vocational agricultural high school, it is a working farm. The students would showcase their skills for the community during a Fall Show. In this there were events in which the students would compete for awards, and at same time have a State Fair atmosphere. The landscaping kids designed and constructed garden plots, mechanic kids manufactured trailers, and rehabbed old farm equipment, the floriculture kids made arrangements, and the animal majors showed livestock (cattle, sheep, horses, dogs, rabbits, etc.) . It was a fun educational program which the community looks forward to each year. Many of the landscape kids actually landed jobs where people came and saw the work, and hired them to do some for them.
