I am in possession of a one of a kind artifact that I recently found and have no money to market it what should I do?

The artifact is a COILED FOSSILIZED SNAKE. it is easy to identify, and very , very rare. May be the only one of record.

A Museum might be interested.  You could auction it on E-Bay.

I was hoping for there to may be a national interest. I truely believe that it may be one of a kind. I was hoping for a more professional situation than E-Bay, Thank you..

Kevin, there is a natural History Museum in Washington, DC. It is a part of the Smithsonian Institute. There is a Science Center Museum in Baltimore,MD that also may have interest in it. In my area both State and National Parks have visitor centers- most of them have a display of the local wildlife you may see..I think you may have to donate the fossil.

Donation is out of the question. The artifact is packed with undiscovered minerals. I would not feel right giving it away. I truely am one of many working poor whom just do not have it like that.
