There will be many times in your life that you can't do what you want to do (for many reasons). Always best to have a plan B! I once shot 100 baskets in a row with my back to the basketball hoop. I would practice whenever I felt bored. One day, I stood at mid court, facing away from the hoop, and was able to make 100 baskets in a row- at around 50 baskets people started gathering around. they had seen me "goofing around" before but were amazed that I was actually able to make basket after basket-backwards. I was a kid then...and it was an odd "hobby"..but it kept me busy when other kids couldn't play. After that, I went on to other things. I like to socialize and be around other people but I can be just as happy watching the clouds, talking to the animals, drawing, playing with pets, or just using my imagination to create stories in my mind.

You are still quite young. I can never get everything "on my list" accomplished in a day. Even if no one is available, an able-bodied person can always go for a walk outside and enjoy nature. Or you can read something, clean something, tidy up a room. And there is always someone who could use your help....always. Just ask.

I have a work list that will take over 100 years to complete and it grows by more than I can accomplish in a day. I’m 67 presently and I feel and look younger than I was when I was 40. But my doctor doesn’t think I look or feel so well. So we are having a tough time getting along but I’m sure his intentions are good and I will take his pills even if it kills me. I have more to do than I can…..didn’t I say that already.

go help somebody......like an elderly woman who lives on your street. Do some yard work for her for free. Lift and carry heavy objects for her down into the basement , for example, or out of her car into her house.

Help your grandparents too.
read a good book, if you have none go to the library and find one. If that doesn't do it, go for a walk. Go visit an elderly neighbor. Do a chore for someone who cannot anymore. Go to a museum, a park, go fishing, rent a canoe, kayak, go to the local shelter and volunteer to walk or visit with dogs. You could go to volunteer at a food pantry, a senior center, a farm, or anything to have a new experience. Join a crew at a Habit for Humanity project. The opportunities are staring you in the face... The more things that you do in life, the more interesting you are, and the less you are to become bored, as you will have many more options.
