"I am the owner of my karma .
I inherit my karma.
I am born of my karma.
I am related to my karma.
I live supported by my karma.
Whatever karma I create, whether good or evil, that I shall inherit."

Karma is a concept in Hinduism which explains causality through a system where beneficial effects are derived from past beneficial actions and harmful effects from past harmful actions, creating a system of actions and reactions throughout a soul's reincarnated lives[1] forming a cycle of rebirth. The causality is said to be applicable not only to the material world but also to our thoughts, words, actions and actions that others do under our instructions.[2] When the cycle of rebirth comes to an end, a person is said to have attained moksha, or salvation from samsara.[3] Not all incarnations are human. The cycle of birth and death on earth is said to be formed from 8.4 million forms of life, but only in human life is an exit from this cycle possible.[4]>>>http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Karma_in_Hinduism
In my own point of view I see Karma as being neither good nor bad...it just is... the balancing of all experiences throughout our many sojourns in and out of the realms of existence. Peace.

Where you get the idea that Karma is always bad??? There's good karma. Its a Hindu word, basically means 'what goes around comes around. The inevitable. You can bring good karma to yourself by doing good by others, and visa-versa...
And you call yourself Britannica'?? :)
Have fun with your new word!

Thumbs up reflects good karma. Thumbs down reflects bad karma. There is good and bad karma on akaQA. The karma here however is not a representation of true karma. It's simply the word the developers used when they created the program akaQA operates from. You will have to ask the developers why they chose karma as the word to use.

Interesting question. I don't believe I have an answer to your question. However, it's quite ironic that an American would make the comment "Bad Karma" when something bad happens to the person they dislike. I have never heard the phrase "Bad Karma" describing a person they like.
