    Skeletons in the closet

Here's your chance, good people of akaQA.
Those skeletons in the closet get pretty crowded for some of us.  Is there any one (or more) you would like to bring out and toss away forever?
You are in safe company; hopefully no one will condemn anyone for "coming clean".
Remember, you are (mostly) anonymous here.
Should I start?  One day in 2004 I was arrested for "spousal abuse" and "attacking" a police officer. BOTH  charges were dismissed.  Not my best times.

Most of my skeletons are laid to rest when I forgive myself for whatever put "it" in my closet in the first place :o

Well, as my back is crappy and I had to pack and move quickly- while psycho spouse was at work...it seem the closet with the towels and skeletons got left behind!  I work really hard at coming to terms with the stupid things I have done and that others have done.  Forgiveness of yourself and others isnt always easy- and it doesn't mean that whatever occured was ok- t's a way to fre yourself from the burden of bad memories, guilt, and those damn skeletons that fall on you when your closets are too ful.

Not saying Im innocent- I've certainly had my fair share. and some funny "what was I thinking" stories.  I'm human I'm sure Ill have more skeletons to deal with.  Prayer and the belief in forgiveness helps.

My DWI. I should have fought it but, I did 2 weeks in jail instead. Got out July 4th... I have other skeletons but I'm pretty good at hiding them from myself.......

When I was 17, I had a job as a pizza delivery driver. I placed the bowl of salad on top of the pizza box and as I got out of the car, the salad slid off the box  and came open as it hit the asphalt. I just scooped the lettuce back into the bowl and delivered it with the pizza.

I BET THAT HAS HAPPENED A COUPLA MILLION TIMES TO A COUPLA MILLION PIZZA DELIVERERS TOO.:)

    PROBABLY LIKED THE LETTUCE BETTER!

But back in high school  I was on a blind date with a girl (drinking of coarse) and I hit a parked car on the way home dropping her off , she hit her head off the windshield and got a wee bit of a scare to this day she still won't talk to me... I don't know why....(P.S.) that's only one tale I care to tell..

My first husband had purchased a new motorbike, the weather was poor but he insisted on going for a ride on a notoriously dangerous road,he had no wet weather gear,so wore a wetsuit (great look) he was pulled up by the police, he had no I.D,they called me asking if I knew him,I said no,he spent the night in a cell, I felt that the safer option than getting back home,he was unimpressed.

I had a close friend, she had met a man I really didn't like,we spent the afternoon at her house watching a movie and drinking, instinct told me not to leave,I did,got a phone call from the police several hours later to go to her house and identify her body,he had stabbed her to death and then hung himself,in front of her 4 young children,I should have stayed, still miss her.

Oh my goodness. The first story is hilarious and by contrast the second, horrific.

I thought so about my husband, the wetsuit was bright orange, and as the bike was new he didn't know enough detail and they thought he may have stolen it,I laughed for weeks.
    Bob/PKB

You have sincerely had more than your share of tragedy to contend with, lambshank. The hubby skeleton is something I'd keep on the mantle, though.
    FISH-O

Too bad you don't have a photo of your hubby to tell the tale. Le' Sigh ... and now we have phones that can take videos... Man!
    lambshank

yeah, the only thing missing was a snorkel....a real shame job,a pic would have been priceless, especially to his troops (he was an officer)
    doolittle

Lambie- you may well have been a victim in your friends house...It's natural to have survivors guilt with a lot of "if I had been there" but that is a ahat if, would, shoulds, coulda thinking- and it will drive you nuts. The truth is you have no idea what would have happened. Im sure missing your friend and wishing the circumstances ahd been different run through your mind. Try thinking of all of the good times and meaningful times you had with her and believe she is in a better place. Peace my friend! Peace!

I wish that was my only skelitons, Bob,

"GOSH NEVER THOUGHT TO LOOK ! COME OUT COME OUT "WHO EVER YOU ARE ."HOW DID YOU GET IN THERE "COLLEEN !!
