Has anyone been vitamin D deficient and/or suddenly lost all their energy. I have been taking 50,000mg of vitamin D and still do not feel better. I just lost all my energy about 1 year ago and am only 45 yrs old. Doctors can't find anything else wrong!!! HELP!

Yes disclaimers are always great aren't they. Just like the drug adds on TV. Makes you never want to try the drug by the end of the commercial!

Loss of energy can be attributed to many factors...stress...diet...depression...PTSD or other anxiety disorders...insomnia..allergens in the environment..exhaustion...being celiac...psoriatic arthritis...viruses...So you see how difficult it is to diagnose a problem without a complete history and without a Diagnostician? Personally I would begin with the diet as this is the most important factor with any discomfort in the body...what are you feeding your body? And...what are you feeding your mind and...how is your spiritual health lately?? Please see a Diagnostician or a Doctor or at the very least a Nutritionist at your local Public Health clinic. Peace.

I don't know where to start: I have heart problems, reflux, asthma, anxiety, just had bilateral knee surgery 3 mos ago, vitamin D def, make too much protein in my white blood cells (forgot blood disorder but not at a dangerous level), tremors (genetic), my son has mitochondrial disease (I am the carrier), over weight, only eat once a day (not hungry), but cannot lose any weight either. Don't eat a lot of sweets but do like breads and pasta etc. Eat a lot of salads, fruit and veggies. I am not depressed but all this I guess is making me very frusterated.

Exercise...with caution and try cutting out the whole wheat and other grains!Sorry but this means pasta too!! Have you ever been checked for Celiac dis-ease?This is a well hidden allergy to grains that many many people suffer from and don't know it. Just by cutting grains some have changed their lives.
Have you ever done a retreat to somewhere to actually heal without the worries of the world upon you? Please check with your local Salvation Army for retreats such as these. Knee surgeries can take a while to recover from so be patient and be gentle with yourself.Do outdoor walks and if needed adopt or rescue a dog who needs you as they are awesome healers in the guise of furry friends and do wonders at getting you out and walking daily...even if you don't "feel like it"! Please do something about releasing any/all guilt over the mother-DNA issue...this is beyond your control and capacity to carry...rid the self of this now!!Peace.
    Disclaimer>>>I am NOT a diagnostician.Tnx. ;)

sorry I can not help you on this subject we are not Doctors on this site

the only thing I know about Vit D is that if you were lacking this your Doctors would have given you a perscription and normaly you should get vit D from the sun and daylight and most foods lack of vit D can cause rickets and bone deificency why dont you ask your Doctor for a full blood program if you are lacking in energy get exercising eat pleant of fruit and veg keep of the dairy products for a while and get those bloods checks as you could have something wrong with your thyroid good luck

    lindilou thanks x

Yes.I was Vitamin D deficient. My Doctor prescribed Vit. D 2, which is an artificial Vit. D. After research, I did not take Vit. D 2., instead I bought Vit. D3, wich is all natural.

Sunlight exposure is the best way to get your Vit. D.without putting sunscreen on your skin. Suncreen prevents Vit.D beeing absorbed.

Go to website "Dr. Mercola.com. You will get all your information on Vit.D and other health problems. He is against precription drugs .. Look it up. You will be amazed to find out, the things Drs. wont tell you.

Have you ever had your blood physically looked at under a microscope. You would be surprised at what floats around . I found a nutritionist that knew what she was doing and she really helped me out. A regular physician does not do this. She  started me on astaxanthan , a high potent antioxident. How is everything in Lawrence.I  Went to KU for two years.
