I think computers would be more enjoyable for everybody if they were more interactive for students. The games that my kids had (Oregon Trail, for example) were goal-oriented and somewhat educational at the same time.
Programs that are self-paced and self-explanatory are nice, too.
Personally, I am competitive and like to succeed in games and puzzles. Timed exercises are fun for me.
Art and creative writing outlets are fun, too.

Because computers seem like a better alternative than going to class in the British system. I wish we had had computers to play with then. Classes were pathetically boring in secondary school.

Programs are infinite...everything from the Arts to Humanities and .Academics can be found and accessed...far from the teaching knowledge of just one instructor and a set format (no insult intended) and I see teachers taking more of a "knowledge guidance councillor " role in future due to this. It depends on the "learner" as to their rate of enjoyment I should think!? I don't suppose that all students enjoy all programs but there are so many choices out there now that criteria can be a cinch to fulfill.
