Yes, I do. When I'm going somewhere I always leave in plenty of time so it's not a big deal to let those who are walking cross safely, whether they're at an intersection or jaywalking.

I most definitely do, it's the least I can do considering they're stuck inhaling my exhausts. It doesn't matter if a person is in a crosswalk or not, I let them cross the street. I most especially make a point of stopping to help children cross the street, so that oncoming traffic get the hint to stop and let the kiddo cross the street.

Absolutely, I stop to let pedestrians cross in front of me. But I rev the engine and honk the horn when they are right in front of me. My car is in park, but if you give it enough gas, it lurches just a little, and that scares the cr*p out of the peds.
Not really.
Really, I do stop for pedestrians. I appreciate the gesture when I'm a ped, so reciprocate. I also appreciate a pedestrian who hustles across my path; the ones who dawdle...............

Yes I do! Our town has a number of cross-walks. Supposedly, it is mandatory to stop when people attempt to use them. The way I see it, our community acquires a friendlier aura if drivers follow this practice. Stopping for pedestrians might remind other drivers to extend that courtesy, as well. It only takes a second or two; it is one of the smallest ways a person can bring a bit of sanity to a downward spiraling society.

It's mandatory in my state to stop at all crosswalks. I would stop even without the law. I learned by experience that I hate waiting for traffic to pass when trying to cross a busy street. I wouldn't want to make someone else wait like that.

The law here states that you must stop for pedestrians who are at a crossing.So....Yes,I always stop at crossings for them or if they are not at a crossing I will stop for them provided it is safe for me to do so.Many,Many years ago when I was taking my test for semi trailers I stopped for a pedestrian on a busy street. The testing officer told me "Don't pander to pedestrians".(His words verbatim).I didn't lose any points off my test for it but he let me know that it wasn't the right thing to do.

I was a little annoyed at the fat lady in the mini skirt and the tight sweater. She was in the cross walk and I kinda inched out because I was distracted. I didn’t plan on hitting her
Anyway a traffic cop caught me inching out and he gave me a ticket for $??. (A lot) I am very careful not to get distracted now. I can’t imagine not letting a pedestrian cross!

Yes! Always! Even J-walkers if the speed limit and person behind me allow it. I get honked at at cross-walks all of the time. Oh well. I stop for critters too...and get laughed at for saving worms in parking lots!

I thought of you immediately and then thought "Oh no! What would Doo say?" But the litte beggar ran like crazy, so he couldn't have been too hurt. lol
(Had to look it up on G. Translate.) LOL
Here in my town anyone walking is lucky not to have a car stopped right in the middle of the cross walk. In a few years they will be stopping for a red light in the middle of the intersection.
