The tax reviewers who looked over her tax filing need to be fired and she needs to go to jail. Theft is theft and stupid should not be paid for letting something like this slip by. 

What was she thinking to only spend $2,000.00 on a used mini van when she could have bought any car she wanted brand new? She should be jailed just for buying a mini van. Yuck. 

I wonder how many times people file false tax returns and are never caught. This is  outrageous that  they did not catch her right in the beginning.

Well well well.... it is hard to believe this really happened.  If it did, Oregon needs to totally re-vamp their system to check validity of State tax returns (did the ever find out what she filed on her Federal return?).  Heads need to roll at the State level and she needs to spend a nice long time in jail! and Colleen is right- the least she could have done is purchase a hybrid vehicle not a gas gussling old mini van!!!! 

I have no doubt she'll be headed to jail. She might have initially pulled the wool over someone's eyes, but we are reading of her eventually getting caught. So,  I would say it probably wasn't the wisest choice she could have made. It would not surprise me at all if she ended up being made an example of.
