Is there an issue that you or your spouse refuse to address? Infidelity, money, or anything else?

Then I would just let it go. Sometimes it's the best thing for everyone. I have had to let a lot of things go concerning my parents, specifically my childhood and how it effected my sister. It has brought me a sense of peace that I could not have otherwise found.
Best wishes Ed and I am glad you came back. You were missed.

No, not at all.  We work everything out and talk about the nitty gritty stuff until all things are resolved.  We are best friends and a team.  We have also both been married before.

We only have one issue that neither one of us will discuss. Causes both of us pain.

Statistically speaking, money is the most common cause of spousal conflict and breakup.

Digger, I heard the same thing. For me it does not apply. My wife liked me (Maybe Loved me) when I was broke, and now that I have two nickles in the bank she still seems to be fond of me. She still rubs my back watching TV, that's all that matters.

    So what's the issue?
    ed shank

NONE. That I wish to share right now.

Ed have you ever tried the tea towel effect ?

I know it sounds silly , you put a tea towel over your head , this way you can not see the reaction or face of the person whom you are talking to?

It works especially with children . It may work for you, allowing another person to speak and being able to listen is an asset to every human being. If we could only do it..

Im guessing after many fights you find it hard to allow the other to speak, you are both passionate about what you believe , and we all have needs.

The hardest part is starting again and finding that unconditional love you thought you once had.

Remember why you feel in love , what you want from life (both parties).. Good luck :)

ed shank:  We've never fought over this issue, we realize that we both made a decision that we will regret as long as we live. Very young, very broke, very stupid. Edit this comment Delete comment

Communication is the key to any good relationship ,that and being able to leave your keys where you want without an argument.

At times we all have our ups and downs thats what being in a relationship is about, some people start relationships for the wrong reasons and this is where the issues you have risen come into effect and a relationship can then become damaging for all involved.

Most important person to love is yourself , then it is that you have the tools and the true abilities to love another. :)

We all do things when we are young that we regret , but you have to look at it not as a regret but as a learning curb for you both.

Money is a materialistic thing, I think everyone has made a silly money decision in there life ones that we wish we could turn back time on, people wish for wealth and it can turn things sour. BRING BACK THE BARTER SYSTEM :)

Don't regret your failures use them as learning tools and take the next step.

You are already on the right path to move forward you are already seeking advice and admitting your failures , now its time to move forward , do not let these things drag you down.
