Depends on the fish you are after. There are some really big catfish along the Mississippi and its tributaries that get up to 60 pounds or more in weight. Some folk like to get in the water and wiggle their fingers to entice a big one to try swallowing their hand. There have been bone fish in Florida that were caught this way also….hand trolling. You need strong shoulder muscles to keep you shoulder from popping out of it’s socket for this kind of fishing. I was thinking of trying this with salmon.

Even catch and release seems a cruel "sport"...I prefer my fish to leap into the pan willingly as I gently coax them with a little white wine and some fine herbs and clarified butter ..but I digress......hahaha ;D
Doo is sad for the fish! When you eat them give thanks tho God (or your higher power) for providing the fish...and don't over catch- it's greedy!
