Gather all of your out dated prescription medication in their bottles. Also gather any medication you will no longer be using, including unused antibiotics, pain medication, or even over the counter medication. (You can put more than one type of medicine in each bottle, just leave space to pour in the rubbing alcohol)

Pour rubbing alcohol into the bottle until full. (Medication will begin to dissolve) Remove the label from the bottle or use a black permanent maker to mark out your name, address, prescription number or any personal information, to prevent any of your personal information from getting into the wrong hands. Place bottle(s) into air tight baggies.

After completing steps 1 and 2, throw baggies in the garbage. It is unsafe to flush any medication down the commode. By properly disposing of medication, you are keeping them out of the wrong hands and preventing any possible water contamination.

You're more than welcome to come visit me and thaw out :)

Take them to your pharmacy and they will dispose of them for you.  They have the means to do it properly.

You can not safely flush your medications but you can flush ... uh ... other stuff. Eeeeew Gross! I don’t understand sewers. I’d not sure I want to.

This is why the alligator/ crocodile in the sewer is an urban myth!!!
