Oh Jenn, I understand it completely and it's something I grapple with too. These thoughts can turn into huge resentments and I've been taught that having resentments is like setting yourself on fire instead of the other person/people(the resentment hurts you not the other person). It has also been suggested to me to pray for the other people/person that they have everything you want in your life (even if you don't mean it). Does it always work- not for me (yet). I do pray to have the courage to forgive them (and remember forgiving someone does not OK what they have done- forgiveness is for you so you get get rid of the load and carry on without that burden). People can be so mean and evil to one another and it is hard when you are their prey!!!!!! I will pray for you!!!!!

I tend to store feelings of resentment and revenge, but I try to put them aside as best I can, but I can't say I'm not quietly happy if, and usually when that person digs themselves into a hole, maybe not a healthy attitude, but satisfying none the less, trick is not to let it eat you up, some things we cannot change and as hard as it can be we just have to accept some things, no matter how unfair it seems, try and rise above it, you will prove to be the better person
