Millions of humans lived in various hells throughout humankind history. Millions still live in various hells in various places on this planet - North Korea just one example.

God is more than fair...that's why He gives us the opportunity to choose for ourselves whether we want heaven or hell.  peace

You'e reading it all wrong William. New earth means this same earth but better. We are soon heading into 1000 years of peace. That will be the new Eden spoken about. As for the new heaven, there are already many levels of heaven. There will be advancement to the next level of heaven because of the Souls that will became spiritually enlightened during this time. Basically, many will graduate to a new grade, a new level, a "new heaven". Not all but a great many. Those not ready will go to the same lower heaven as those before them.

The only hell I can think of is if you refuse to go with God and then all comes to an end you will be left there to burn up with everything else.

Indeed you can't have hell without heaven nor can you have light without darkness..

Oh my life feels like it sometimes- but I still have faith and I can still pray- so, I know I'll get through it.
