A really big gun. I don't believe the "Big Bang Theory".
Bob/PKB
I believe in Creation. God, Jesus, Holy Spirit. I don't go into details here...it causes a lot of commentary.
williamtheman
bob/pkb I Also beleave in God and see creation at work all the time
raqnshizaldai
creation is only possible through the tool of natural evolution so long as 1+1=2.
Bob/PKB
You are free to believe whatever you wish. As am I.
Bob/PKB
Yeah, I kinda think I am free to believe what I want. No one has charged me for me thoughts, knocked on my door and threatened me. You can criticize and belittle me all you want, but I can refrain from engaging in a debate, which is what I will do from this point on.
raqnshizaldai
Im not opposing your views on theology, in fact i also believe in God. But i also believe in the laws of nature that shaped our world. In other words i believe that God did infact purposefully create mankind, and natural evolution and science in general is the tool and language needed by logical necessity to create and sustain the universe. That is, there is no such thing as magic, therefore creation is impossible, what does exist though is the basic principle of cause and effect which gives rise to the need of a 'cause' in order for an 'effect'. In this case the effect is the universe as we see it today, and the cause is laws of nature including the principle of natural selection.
raqnshizaldai
Get an education, ask yourself some questions and open up your eyes to the UNDENIABLE truth. And you are not free to believe in the magic of creation. When you chose what to believe in, in terms of how the universe came to be, why did you choose the belief which goes completely against all evidence and reason? Go at least to school and become enlightened as to how the reality you live in, works.
Bob/PKB
I am free to believe in Creation. I believe in Creation. I am NOT uneducated, stupid, naive, or stubborn.
I AM weary of your comments and admonishments and criticism. Please leave me alone and allow me to have my beliefs without further comment. You aren't going to change my beliefs; you will only reinforce the one I am getting that you are arrogant, insistent, and a pain in the ass. HEY, is this Russ????
raqnshizaldai
How old do you believe the universe is, out of curiosity?
raqnshizaldai
And your not free to believe in something that's impossible, and also your innate desire to be loved and feel you belong is no good reason to believe in God. This is the problem with all religion, they make up a God and afterlife realms that seem to for some reason to be the most loving comfortable things imaginable, in fact certain definitions of God, is that God is love. When really this all stems from ones need to be loved and accepted, and its not just us, all animals need some extent of love and to feel they belong. Its a fundamental psychological condition that evolved by natural selection to bring groups of animals together, having a 'safety in numbers effect'. Again, not challenging your views on theology, just why you think a God exists when all you have is irrational faith going against all evidence and reason, stemming ultimately from simply a mental attribute that allowed certain species to survive, hence us for example as the remaining beings with such characteristics.
raqnshizaldai
But no, your right. You can believe whatever you want, like you say there's no law against it. Im just trying to let you know your wrong, as i think you might prefer to believe in principles that actually exist. I feel just as sorry for people who believe in fairies.
raqnshizaldai
And yes i do sometimes be a bit 'insistent', when trying to get across the premise that 1+1=2, to people who cant connect the dots themselves.
Colleen
raqnshizaldai you are harassing and insulting. Bob/PKB has asked you 2 times to stop and leave her alone. Debates are fine when both parties are interested in the debate. To push your ideas is not allowed when you've been asked to stop. Write a thesis and present it to the world. Those interested, will read and maybe agree. The rest will follow their own beliefs. Which they have a right to.
