                        GREAT QUESTION, I WANNA KNOW WHY, TOO! IT TAKES AWAY THE WHOLE TRUENESS OF THE STATEMENT, AND MAKES ME WONDER IF THEY ARE EVEN SMILING..U KNOW, THERE NOT, ALOT! SO.. LOL.. HAS BECOME BOGUS TO ME AND THATS WHATS UP, FOR MY 2 CENTS..AND A BIG PHAT FRAUD  ACTION..THX FOR POSTING WHAT WAS ON MY MIND!

                          Don't yell,please. I don't understand your answer. Some people smile in actual life without meaning it and some write lol without meaning it. When I use term lol I really mean it or it really is a joke. So I ask you do you mean that smiling is over rated act in it self or what do you mean?

                            i think you have something there i didnt think of. Ithink maybe i take the lol, too literally..i am the text type that will try to cum up with ways to describe my reactions to things in a way that maybe seems more, personable.. catches the emotion..bcuz ppl cant see your expression or hear your tone..etc. I just realized that i may have some kinda disorder that hasnt been diagnosed just yet..

                            We LOL because life is worth of laughing and I think that in akaQA our LOLs come from the bottom of our  heart.  :D  (BTW : D means LOL in smileys.)
