    It sounds as though there could be an issue with a carbuerator float sticking open and flooding through to the crankcase. Many engines have line shut-offs for that very reason. Years back I rebuilt a carbuerator on a tractor that would completely top off the crankcase with gasoline doing that. That sort of thing happens with gravity fed carbuerators.
