I know OF a lot of very funny people who are famous.  But I PERSONALLY know my kids, and the eldest never fails to make me laugh.  Actually, the middle one makes me laugh regularly, too, but is not quite as witty as his older brother.  They have quick wits, are dry, cynical, and self-deprecating.  Many people find my own peculiar sense of humor enjoyable, myself included.  When I say something that makes a person laugh (and that was the response I was seeking), it is joyful for me.

Billy Connolly always cracks me up, I've liked all his comedy since the early 70s.

well this is hard one I do think my Husband has a very could sence of humour though he is very dry and very witty which I like! as for comedians I cant think of any names there is one he is American but does stand up comedy in the UK very pan face never smiles also very dry dont know his name

I don't like the new comedians, they seem to make race and non-pc and sexual innuendos as their claim to fame, cursing every other word and the common use of the F word-- I give exception to this only to one comedian and that is Richard Pryor. He was the first to break the rules of morals but I was very young then and still to this day I love to hear his humor..  A bit hypocritical on my part but I guess he was 'grandfathered in.." before I changed.. LOL

John Cleese in Fawlty towers (Farty towels) always cracked me up.(Don't mention the war).

I laughed for about an hour straight at Ellen’s funny prom photographs and her auto-correct collection just today. 

My husband was looking over my shoulder as I flipped through them on the computer. He didn’t laugh one time and I don’t know why!

Sam.  Not famous, but should be...a very funny man!

The funniest person I knew personally was my father...man he could tell a story or yarn as he'd call it...he was a writer and film maker so he knew how to string the words and describe things to an atom...he was really good looking too so his facial expressions and gesticulations were a hoot to behold...he had the same "trippy" thing in life as myself and at least 3 of my siblings where total strangers approach us for help or advice or an ear to listen...and it happens everywhere...he would be a half hour paying for gas simply because someone had approached him with a social or psychological philosophical type trip...odd but true. His thing to say in parting was "Keep your chin up and keep smiling"...tuff to do when he can't be seen.....man he was a funny dude.   :)
