No.  I don't like hearing any one tell a lie.  I had a very close friend who was a compulsive liar.  I could tell when she was telling a lie.  The hardest thing was, that after she passed away I realized that other people didn't know that she was spinning yarns and now so many people think less of her.  She actually was a very good person in spite of this problem.

A compulsive liar believes what they are saying. They live the lie as they tell it. Usually these people will lie about their own accomplishments and successes, they are also with inferiority complexes. i have known a couple like this and yes, you know they are lying, and sometimes I believe they too know that you know they are lying but continue on saving face. Argue with them they will stand by this fib.   It is terrible when someone is a habitual liar and they take someone down with their lie.  It's when they talk to strangers is when they get away with it as the stranger doesn't know this person that lies.

I had an employee once that lied outrageously, even a stranger could pick up on it - She claimed she parachuted from 80,000 feet, she was an engineer of a 'steam' locomotive and worked full-time on a coast to coast passenger train, (in the 70's)-- She was also an airline pilot with United airlines and she own a hotel in Hawaii.  Her lies were actually funny. :)  

My sister is a pathological liar and always has been.  I don't know why.  It bothers me because she doesn't know how much it hurts others, like her four kids.  The two girls have turned out pretty good, but the twin boys worry me.  How do I know when she lies?  When she speaks, over half of what she says is a lie.  I've given up trying to figure out which half is the truth, because she has no credibility.

I have learned that lying almost always comes back to bite you, both at home and at work.  So I rarely lie.  (I never say never.)  It keeps me out of trouble or at least minimizes what little trouble I do get into.    

When I ask myself why my sister lies, I remember as a child it was to get out of trouble, and it worked a lot.  It seemed my parents were clueless, or maybe after a while they just gave up.  So she must have thought lying was the answer to her problems.  Now she doesn't know any better.

A morbid part of me loves knowing the truth already............

Let's see.....someone is lying right to my face and I know it's a lie.  So, you are asking me if I love when someone thinks so little of me, has such little respect for me and our relationship...
No, I don't love that.  It is pathetic, disgusting, and heartbreaking.

And you ask me why I trust no one.   

I have been around the best of them, sad part is, now i think every one i talk with is lying.

Only when it is so outrageous (See Vinny's ans.) that it is funny.  I have first have knowledge of being close to someone and they lied about me- and everyone believed that person!!!! It still haunts me!!! So, I'd have to say, it makes me happy when the lies are discovered!!!!!!!!!  Otherwise, lies can be distructive to a lot of people!!!!!!!!!!
