It was a Bloody Mary made with FRESH tomato juice and the usual mixture.....

I don't know what was the best, the ingredients or when I had what because the alcohol consuming deal really is my ex-husband's thing but... My husband, son and I went to a wedding in Ottawa (Which is a wonderful city).  We had been working very hard and a break was needed.  A family event was a welcome change of pace.  As a side bar to this vacation we travelled to Quebec City.  The landscape of Ontario with all of it's little towns and farm land is absolutely beautiful.  Likewise is the province of Quebec.  I am not crazy about Montreal.  We stayed in the most quaint, artsy fartsy hotel that we discovered on the internet and after site seeing for two days we found ourselves back in the courtyard of our hotel, really looking at where we were.  My husband ordered us both a beer and we sat down.  After about three sips the two of us looked at each other and there it was... RELAXATION.  I have never had a better beer in my life and I couldn't tell you what the name of it was... it was brewed in Quebec.

    I don't really imbibe but...

    White Russian

2 oz vodka 1 oz coffee liqueur light cream

Pour vodka and coffee liqueur over ice cubes in an old-fashioned glass. Fill with light cream and serve.

    Harp Irish Lager

    Singapore Sling

1/2  oz grenadine  syrup 1  oz gin sweet and  sour mix club  soda 1/2  oz cherry  brandy

Pour grenadine into the bottom of a collins glass, and fill with ice. Add gin, and almost-fill with equal parts of  sweet and sour and chilled soda. Top with cherry brandy, and serve unstirred,  garnished with a cherry.
