    3(x+2)=5(2x+1)

    3x  +  6  =  10x  +  5  >  cancel out the 3x on the left by subtracting on both sides.

                                            cancel out the 5 on the right by subtracting on both sides

    3x - 3x  +  6 - 5  =  10x - 3x  +  5 - 5

                           1      =   7x

                           7             7

    x  =  1/7

    can you answer my other question?

    the answer is 1/2

    3(x+2) = 5(2x+1) distribute

    3x+6 = 10x +5 subtract 5 on both sides

    3x+1=6x divide by 3x

    1=2x

    x=1/2

    x means to multiply
