Medicare and DHS has stripped me of everything I had in programs.They cut back the hours for a in home health aide. I'm verry frail and weak trying to stay at home. Medicare refuses to help me pay for the cost of Vital Vitamins, Protein, supplements I need to stay alive. I lost my whole stomach in 2007. And I have been fighting for my rights as a human being every since.!Im down to 98 lbs. now .I can't stop this process I'am starving to DEATH!! sombody out there "PLEASE, help me".I'am so ashamed of our mighty goverment. What cowards they all have become. holding up everything, looking like spoiled little boys, "that they are"!only because they know they can throw their weight around and they all do it.. Shame on the lot of you , Your cut backs are killing people like me. Forced to try to live on $694.00 a month. Could any of you do it ?It's only going to get worse for us the babyboomers. The goverment hopes we will just give up and go away>>> Well Im not. I'am going to fight them with all thats left in me. YOU COWARDS in CONGRESS both sides. They all need to be booted out of office!! well what do you think about that IDEA, Big men?All replys welcomed. Your local Area Agency on Aging may be able to help you.
Iowa’s Area Agencies on Aging can provide information about care options for older Iowans, regardless of income. They can assess your needs, check eligibility for public programs, and, for income eligible persons, may be able to help pay for some support services.
You did not mention what town in Iowa you live in, but if you call toll-free: 1-866-468-78878 the Iowa Association of Area Agencies on Aging (i4a) will be able to give you the contact information for the Area Agency on Aging in your area.
