Would the draft be gender based as it was during Viet Nam? In this day and age of equality, should it equally apply to either gender? Should illegal aliens in this country be given an opportunity to earn citizenship through defending U.S. during time of need? How should draft dodgers be handled if this were to ever become a reality? This question opens some prosepcts no one has ever really given much serious thought to before, especially in light of the time and changes that have occured since the draft was last implementd.

I would seriously doubt that women would be drafted. Aliens that have served in or for our military have always been given preferential treatment when they apply for citizenship, and I would hope they always will. Illegal aliens, I'm not sure about. My opinion is that draft dodgers should be labeled as such (much like someone with a dishonorable discharge), and prosecuted to whatever extent the judicial system deems proper. Freedom is not Free.
