Here are a few suggestions:
1) Perhaps the webmasters could write some instructions on how to write a question and screen out those not properly formatted.
2) Someone could write a book listing a) The most, interesting, difficult or unusual questions asked and answered, and including a section citing the dumbest ones as well. I'd buy it! What do you think?
I knew thie question would generate some interesting answers...

I believe it has to do with several factors:
Possible mind altered states.
Newbies to the task of typing, which can be daunting at first go!
Placement of tags and further explanation is neglected.
They have actually been abducted by the computer itself whence they are often immediately whisked away hither and forth into the vast and outreaching arms of this akaQA forum...a phenomenon!!...I am perplexed as well by some enquiries!
Perplexed and kind of crosseyed at times!

Thanks, Lindalou. I enjoyed that one too! :)
For some, English is not their first language. Some people are in a hurry and aren't careful. Some people aren't using spell-check. Some people don't have the education or background to be articulate in their writing,

I use to think the same as you Russ, after a while you just don't care, as long as you understand the question, that's what counts!

We are here to try and help find information for people, not critique them, as if we were English teachers.
Though there's nothing wrong with being a teacher, English or otherwise. ;)
This question becomes rather boring.Unfortunately not everyone in this world can read, write, spell correctly. Why care ?There is nothing you or i can do about it, what i can do though is help answer the questions, find information etc, after all this is what akaQA is all about.I am not one to criticize someones intelligence.

I for one often use this site a lot on nightshirt, there are many thought provoking, intelligent questions and answers but if I had go look up how to phrase things, what to ask, or how to answer, I doubt I'd bother, I enjoy some of the flippant banter, trite answers and at 0200 am not always at my sharpest

It's because they watch too much television. Their brains freeze at the last reality show and then they can't write anymore. Perhaps they're on the drink...

And my mom used to love " Have you Been Served ? " and " Upstairs Downstairs "
You remind me of one of the actors in Jurassic Park. He was the computer expert or detective that interrogated Sharon Stone.
His name is Wayne Knight.

Country bumpkin: I would never hurt such a lovely lady or anyone else, for that matter.:) Besides, I was raising a serious question. It seems to me if someone wants an answer to his or her question he would take the time to write it so it can be answered correctly. Many of them aren't even complete questions. __________________________________________

Umbriel: With respect, Bob, he hasn't. The rabbit hole was dug in Hilbert Space.
I have noticed this problem for years as I had many students working part time under my management. I blame it on Phonetics... They are teaching children to sound things out and spell that way and forgetting, for some inexplicable reason (Probably because of wage freezes), not to teach them how to spell correctly. If a student can't spell then why would he/she give one hoot about formulating a sentece correctly?
R U getin this
For the second part of your question... There are all sorts of sites dedicated to each and every "Question" point you make... Jst gogl it
Apparently in this "New and Painful" English "I" no longer needs to be capitalized ... i know i hre ur pain

I've asked the same question on here at least 3 X and have never gotten a good answer. Yes, I know there are people here for whom English is not their first language, but the young Americans are not doing any better
