Crash days break my routines and give me a chance to re-evaluate the value of what I was doing and lets me choose to continue the routines or give them up completely. I just had one that was pretty harsh and all at the same time….On April first, the following actually happened….my 12 year old cat died, a water line broke under the house, we ran out of fuel oil, I didn’t win the lottery, and my OL and I stopped to consider selling everything and moving to Australia. Today is the third of April and The cat is in a box in the freezer awaiting cremation, the broken waterline is fixed, there is fuel in the tank enough to get through until this fall and we decided not to sell and move to Australia. So I’m still here too….We keep seeing young cats in the neighborhood and I’ll get a lottery ticket next time I go out.

It does sound trite but the downside of life is supposed to make us stronger. If things were good all the time, we'd probably take them for granted. Such is human nature! :)
