Going to see your Dr. would be good idea, so as he can arrange for an X-ray,and make sure there is no damage done to the knee.

I hope that you have seen (or are planning to see) a doctor....seems unlikely if this happened a couple of weeks ago?  You may need physiotherapy on it or at least need to do exercises at home, or you may need to be putting hot/cold (whichever is correct) on it.  I don't think that you can expect that it will just get better on its own, do you?     :(

Ikeep rubbing abc liniment on it,not convinced it helps that much really but was working on the theory that it should sorts it....

Alternate Ice and heat.  When you are lying on your back slowly lift and bend your leg several times, rest and repeat.  This type of injury can be very painful!  If your knee area seems puffy, red, or swollen, or you can hear a clicking sound when you bend and unbend your leg I suggest seeing a doctor. If it continues to bother you for the next few days I recommend calling a doctor anyway!

    I'm a bonafide, certified Phlebotomist now. (*~*)

A physiotherapist should be able to show you some exercises that will help it back into place.I have the same recurring problem. It's a damned nuisance.

I'd go see a specialist immediately, just to make sure you didn't tear anything there.  A physical therapist can do wonders for you if you get the right one.  In the mean time, keep moving the affected knee gently and often so it doesn't lock up on you.

APPLY ICE INITIALLY TO REDUCE SWELLING...REST AND DON`T WEIGHT-BARE ON BAD LEG...BUT KEEP FOOT ELEVATED AND DO GENTLE LEG EXERCISES AS YOU ARE STATIC TO AVOID DVT`S AND MAINTAIN ADEQUATE CIRCULATION...ANALGESIA..AS PRESCRIBED IF NEEDED...don`t try and rush it better..needs time to heal!!

    good luck,
