FROM THE URBAN DICTIONARY:
The term 'Shunk' has become synonymous with what one of a hygiene conscious persuasion would earnestly regard as a smelly, scruffy bastard. Its use originated from a family of smelly, scruffy bastards (with surname of 'Shunk') who used to live in the Sanfields area of Port Talbot. The more fortunate residents of Port Talbot who live in the neighbouring wards of Baglan, Margam, Taibach and Cwmavon regard all people living in Sandfields as shunks as they are all smelly, scruffy bastards. Sean Phelan is one such shunk, you probably remember him from being the only shunk in the band Aubrey Straw. You wouldn't want to be a shunk, oh no!

Le' Fig is correct.... I knew the family of Ernesto Shunk... and I am still alive to tell the tale.
Miranda Colis-Neptune fainted for all eternity on hot summer day in 1965 as Ernesto, Chalia, Mebso, Castro and Chamilia Shunk walked by her beautiful garden while she was planting daisies. Sad and True. Her dog Bobo first fell (A dog's nose knows) and would have lived had not Miranda quickly and swiftly stood erect by the alarm of the odor... One whiff, a dizzy head from the rushing of blood to her brain and "BOOM!", down she fell on Bobo. If that poor dear woman had not woken up to discover her sweet sweet Bobo flattened like a pancake underneath her rather gigantic frame she would not have fainted for all eternity.
You can visit Miranda if you like. Go to www.mirandaishere.com for more details. One day she may wake up.
