Guinea pigs will eat a lot of raw veggies and fruits (no citrus fruits). I used to make mine a salad. You could see if s/he will eat a piece of raw potato but I don't think it should be given to her/him often. Raw lettuce, cabbage, string beans, snap peas, carrots, apple pieces, and berries- they love all of this (especially strawberries- they make a mess but are oh so happy). Include the guinea pig food with it & fresh water. If the guinea pig gets watery BM's cut back on the fresh veggies and fruit.
My guinea pig came from a lab and had M.S.- she lived a much longer life getting a small salad or just a treat daily!
