I can't find any connection to hereditery liver disease in cats with the same bloodline.

Maybe Jack is correct, best ask a qualified vet.

I do not know the answer, but me thinks that perhaps if Smoky Jo was allowed outside, her liver problem may have been the result of lapping up some antifreeze.

What type of liver disease did she have? 1 has no known cause while another can be caused by 3 different conditions. The 3rd is inherited. You would need to know which liver disease your cat had.

She was always an indoor cat & very frail even as a kitten,at first I just thought it was mange & she was the runt of the litter. Could this of caused her liver diease? Thanks! C.V. Berndt
