Greenwood Lake is located at 41°13′21″N 74°17′23″W.[1]
According to the United States Census Bureau, the village has a total area of 2.5 square miles (6.5 km2), of which, 2.0 square miles (5.2 km2) of it is land and 0.4 square miles (1.0 km2) of it (17.07%) is water. The lake is 9 miles long.
The village is at the north end of a lake called Greenwood Lake, which straddles the New York State and New Jersey border.
The northern junction of NY-210 (Jersey Avenue/Windemere Avenue) is at NY-17A in the village.

It is seven miles long and 3/4 mile wide, on average.

    You do the math.
