"Bully" Should it have an "R" rating?
This new movie is about a boy who is bullied and beaten on the school bus repeatedly. There is actual film documentation of what the child endured. The parents talked to the school principal to no avail and eventually relocated to a new school district where the boy says he is happy and doing well.
The movie opens at the end of March, and currently has an "R" rating due in part to the language heard on the school bus. Any thoughts on the rating or movie. Thanks.

My first thought when I saw the clip was the language is being used ON THE BUS where all the kids appeared to be elementary-aged (under 14).
I think maybe the R rating is a good thing because adults will have to take the juveniles and get a clue themselves.
I also think any kid who gets a kick out of this behavior, or is encouraged to imitate it has some major issues that need to be resolved before the kid can buy a gun.

Dunno Bob! I don't think any kid should have gun in there possession to begin with. well I can't comment on this issue to much, I haven't seen the scrip. And bullying should never be tolerated,in any school,I can remember my physic teacher watching me getting into a fight and he was hoping I'll get beat up,cause he'd didn't like french. I did find out he had to do a french exam.
I agree with the rating and I believe the parents should have a ride on the bus to hear for themselves what their innocent little darling is being subjected too.
The majority of kids today are foul mouthed little fiends from primary school, why? Because society do gooders have taken over the allowable behaviour without monitoring it or even having a plan in mind.
Police are referred to as pigs, lovely show of support for men and women who put their lives on the line every working day. But we accept this.
There is more bad language in PG rated movies than there ever was in any rating 50 years ago.
Why because we allowed it.Children swear in the home. Why? because we allow it.
Any one reading my comments that feels I am over the top then you my friend, sorry don`t want you for a friend, are part of the PROBLEM
