Type Cub Cadet 1525 lawn mower into the Google search box, and you will find sites that will be of great help. For the deck, you probably threw a belt off its pulleys. For shutting it off and it not starting again...check your battery connections and connections at the starter, then try wiggling the switches gently. You could also have a bad battery that won't take a charge. Check the cheap stuff out first before you go out and buy a new battery though, because if it's just a bad connection at the starter, a new battery won't help anyway! Be careful of the fact that you could still have a battery with a good charge though when you are fooling with the wires.
For safety's sake, pull the plug wires when you are putting the belt on, so as to not accidently have it kick over while you are wrestling with getting it back on.
