Simple:   I ate lunch. (single subject and single predicate)

Compound: Matt and  I ate lunch and washed the dishes (multiple subjects AND predicates)

Complex:  (I'm guessing here) I ate lunch, which consisted of a salami, pastrami, and jalapeno jack cheese, a small bag of Ranch Doritos, and a 32 oz. peach-flavored green tea.

Complex compound: (See complex and add);  I was so full, I couldn't eat the chocolate cake dessert.
