I like the idea of doing away with the TD button. Most TDs don’t explain why they did that. I think it’s usually an error and they don’t know how to correct it. It doesn’t convey enough info to be of much value so I’m all for doing away with TD.

TD's are tempting but that is my own hot temper, cool down and blow it off.......

I think we all/most agree that TDs is not the way to relay our differances, nor is it a battle for karma, perhaps if equal or more amount of karma was taken away it might help to a degree, other than that,maybe a two or three day suspension for those who TD 2-3 times in a 24 hour period ?

I've given them both suggestions already Daren plus a couple others. They are "thinking" about it.

Keep the TU and TD buttons and get rid of the Karma points ..... problem solved. The receiver would know who thought his/her answer or question was good, and also who the rare TD came from.

It is no secret that I have used the TD recently for a question and for an answer I found particularly "NOT OK".  In both instances, I gave the member an explanation of why I was giving the TD.  It takes quite a bit for me to use that to express my disagreement. I never use it to "get back" at someone or be mean. If I have used it incorrectly, please email me. 

I get a prompt lately after a TU asking if I want to change my vote. Why? I haven't TD anyone in a very long time. If I TD anyone lately, it was this stupid machine and did not intended to pull points from anyone.

You get the prompt when you click twice. The app is running slow again so when it appears the TU didn't take, it actually did. Just close out the prompt when that happens and know the TU went through.

I've noticed while trying to hit the TU button I hit the space in between then both thumbs turn gray will this cause the thumbs down vote? I sometimes get a message do you want to cancel your vote I push no, then realize maybe it's TD. In my defense I never TD if I don't agree I just don't vote.

Only one will take. If you ever want to make sure, just click on the person's name and go to their profile page, click on karma and you can see what you gave them. If you made a mistake and hit TD, then just click the TD button again to remove it.

Please get rid of the the thumbs down butto ASAP. It is not necessary. If someone Q or A is vulgar, racist to me or attacks the members of akaQA in a manner to be harmful I "report abuse" which gives one a chance to write WHY.

I'm still pushing the developers to make this happen. I got a message from one of the admin who says this may happen soon.

Is it really a war then it might be karma war 1.
