        "" I say China. In Pakistan they'll spit all kinds of things on the ground. In India, Pakistan and Sri Lanka they even blow their noses onto the road. They think using a hanky or tissue is dirty! So I don't think they'd worry about a piece of chewing  gum.

          Chewing gum, which is probably what you mean, is banned in Singapore. So there are no sticky lumps to adhere to your shoes on the sidewalk. They also hang people there, though not for chewing gum.
