    Olympic question

Most people will be aware that the Olympic Games are to be held in London this year.  Previously, cities hosting the games have found that the stadium where most of the athletics are staged have had little use after the games have ended. It was hoped that one of the London football clubs would buy the stadium but none seem willing. So can anyone tell me why a new stadium had to be built when Wembley was designed  as a dual purpose venue for football and athletics?

I understand that the legacy use of the Olympic Stadium is in dispute and still going through the courts with several London teams still involved.

As for why they had to build it I think you,d better as " Lord Coe", only he can give you a satisfactory explanation, HA HA!!!

It seems that large organizations everywhere in the world know how to spend other people's money, at those times that they can least afford it.
