Good observation but i would imagine it would get rather costly , unless he has good health insurance what would be the point..

Very astute of you to notice his actions and I believe you could be right. However, I don't know your neighbor or the surrounding circumstances so I can't guess......

Every good possibility he is using 9-1-1 to feed his habits one way or another.  The really sad thing is, the paramedics HAVE to provide attention and transportation for this guy.  I'll be they have discussed leaving the back door unlocked and not latching the bed he lounges upon, then taking a turn just a tad too sharply...you get the picutre.
I just learned that some people call 9-1-1 just so they can get a ride to the hospital.  They get out of the ambulance and walk off. The pay neither the fare nor do they tip their driver.
Guess who is paying for THAT cab fare, Citizens!

Hey maybe he is sick too.  ER's no longer dole out pain meds like they used too...and they catch on pretty quickly.

If he is using drugs, chances are he will rob you soon. Be prepared to defend yourself and property. Do you own a gun ?

This question is anything but dumb.  You want to see some dumb questions.  Hang out here a little while longer and you'll see some.

Thank you all for your answers and we always keep our doors locked! Always! But, he sketches me out and Ive neber been on any type of drugs so I dont know the different ways you can get them but I just assume its because of it. Im in school to become a drug and alcohol counselor and I am a mother so I am always observing his behavior. & Btw, this is an apartment complex and our doors are right next to eachother...

Do you know his medical history, does he have chronic pain or some sort of back injury? Many people with drug addictions have them because they have been is some sort of serious pain or have a medical condition that requires heavy pain medication. Some just get addicted...........

Why don't you take a friend over there where you feel safe and go and talk to the guy and find out what his medical problems may be, or if he truly has one? Why not first go about it trying to see if you can help the guy out? Bake him some cookies, go over with a friend and tell him you've noticed the ambulances quite often, can you do something to help. Bring over some leftovers? Hope this helps? It's a different perspective, not trying to be critical, just trying to give you a different approach to maybe find out the truth or details of what's really going on....

 He probably goes to the hospital because he is not handling the effects of the drug and panics, if he frequently goes to the hospital, they  would be well aware that he would be a drug user and i doubt they would administer anything to further his habit.

Quite possibly, at least here I know the ambulance don't dismiss any call, and are required to attend, however I wouldn't worry too much as the hospital staff would be right on to it

Emergency Room personel  are trained to ask questions and know when someone is drug seeking. They have people that try to get drugs all the time, they are called "frequent flyers".  If your neighbor is always going to the hospital I'm sure the staff is familiar with his condition. ER's don't hand out meds like they used to. Hospitals are in contact with each other if there seems to be a question of drug seeking. An ER doctor will sugest a drug re-hab if they suspect drug seeking so if that is what's happening I would let the professionals handle the situation.

He may panic or have fits..not a great road to go down...hopefully he`ll get rehab if he`s willing and lucky.DRUGS RUIN YOURS AND YOUR FAMILY AND FRIENDS LIFE...PEOPLE OFTEN START as an experiment or peer pressure..The lows are FAR worser than the highs!..We see a lot of people with drug problems in A/E...AND IT`S NOT EXCLUSIVE TO CLASS/INTELIGENCE ETC!....There is a saying we use with pills n shots..."ONE`S TOO MANY...1000`S never enough"!!...and people STRIVE TO GET THE ORIGINAL 1ST "high"...BUT IT DOESNT HAPPEN AGAIN!..they just need more and more drugs to feel even just ok..ish!!
