depending on which type of glass you are putting in. you will need to remove the old glass and then scape of any old sealant , check the rubber around a car window before place a new windshield in . make sure you replace the old if it is cracked. once you have done this you will need to place sealant and then can place the glass in around the seal.  now if it is a window pain in your house you will still do similar process you will place sealant around the frame of the window and place the glass in  let dry
